What to Expect at a Carpet Cleaning Appointment
A walkthrough of the visit, what to do before we arrive, and how long you will be off your floors.

Knowing what is going to happen makes the appointment easier to plan around, so here is the whole Happy's visit start to finish.
Before we arrive
- Move small items, breakables, and floor clutter
- Clear parking near the door when you can — shorter hose runs are quieter
- Note the spots and stains you care about most so we can walk them with you
On the day: inspection through extraction
- 01Walk the job — fiber ID, colorfastness test, honest talk about what will come out
- 02Dry soil removal — most of what is in carpet is dry and has to come out first
- 03Pre-condition traffic lanes and spots, then give dwell time
- 04Hot water extraction — dirty solution comes straight back out in the same pass
- 05Groom, speed-dry, and final walkthrough before we leave
How long you will be off your floors
Most residential carpet is dry to the touch within a few hours. Good airflow shortens it further. If a spot wicks back up as it dries, call us — that is residue traveling up from the pad, not a failed clean.
